Location: Hotel Grand Pacific,   Gabriola Room

Guaranteed Prize Fund:  $600 (1st $300, 2nd $200, $3rd $100)  plus $100 travel allowance to out of town players.

Format:  8 player round robin.

Schedule:  Closed: Friday Player's Meeting 5:30pm , Rd. 1 6:00,  Saturday Rd 2 10:00am, Rd. 3 3:00pm, Sunday Rd. 4 10:00am, Rd. 5 3:00pm, Monday Rd. 6 10:00 am, Rd. 7 3:00pm.  

Entry:  By invitation.   The BCCF will process invitations starting at the end of August.   Entry is free.

Rating:  CFC and FIDE rated

Time Control:  G/90 + 30 sec. increment

COVID Precautions: 

• Details will be finalized closer to the event.  Any applicable reccommendations of the Health Authority will be in place.    
• The venue is 667 sq. feet with a private restroom.     One game per table with games at least 2 meters apart. 
• Masks are mandatory in the playing area.
• A valid vaccine passport showing proof of vaccination is required.
• The FIDE handshaking rule will not be in place.
  
• Spectators, other than those directly connected to the event are not allowed.
